Welcome to the Saginaw-Tuscola Medical Control Authority
In Michigan, Medical Control Authorities are formed by statue and charged with all aspects of oversight for the Emergency Medical Services in their region.
At the Saginaw-Tuscola Medical Control Authority, our goal is to give our EMS providers the necessary direction and tools they need to provide progressive high-quality EMS care.
The STMCA is responsible for EMS medical oversight in both Saginaw and Tuscola Counties. Our providers are made up of over 650 Medical First Responders, EMTs, and Paramedics who represent 30 separate agencies. These dedicated professionals provide EMS response to nearly a quarter-million residents in an urban, rural, and super rural setting.
The STMCA is made possible through the commitment and dedication of our local hospitals and without their support; none of our efforts would be possible.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our supporters and all of the EMS providers in the system. Through everyone’s dedication to excellent care, we are one of the best EMS systems in Michigan!
